Skiing in the Portes du Soleil

Several resorts of the Portes du Soleil are easily accessible from Le Biot. The Portes du Soleil ski area is one of the biggest winter playgrounds in the world, with 12 linked resorts on either side of the French-Swiss border, located between Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc.

You can rent skiing material at an affordable price in Le Biot on the market square.

The shuttle Balad’Aulps Bus will take you from Le Biot to the ski resorts in the valley.

Le Balad’Aulps Bus vous permet de rejoindre les stations de ski en transport en commun depuis Le Biot.

Roc d’Enfer, is a nice and affordable family resort in St Jean d’Aulps, 8km from Le Biot.

Avoriaz is at 15km. You can access from the Lindarets or from the Prodains cable-car.

Morzine – Les Gets are at 15km or 20km depending whether you access from Morzine or Les Gets.

You can also take the pass of the col du Corbier to reach the Vallée d’Abondance and its resorts, Chatel and La Chapelle d’Abondance.

Cross-country skiing

Several areas are dedicated to cross-country skiing around Le Biot, in particular in the Lac de Montriond et au Praz-de-Lys

Walking and trekking

Le Biot is a middle montain village. Many trails are still accessible in winter with regular walking shoes.

Snowshoes or cross-country skies will be necessary if you decide to walk up the summits.

Other winter fun activities

You can go sledging in the fields around the house.

There is large indoor ice rink in Morzine.
